Trophy Deer Hunting in the Badlands of Montana.

Located in the badlands of Eastern Montana our deer hunts provide just the right balance of adventure and comfort. We have the ability to hike into canyons that see very little pressure or we can drive to vantage points and glass large tracks of land from the 4x4 vehicles we use to access the properties. Our guests enjoy an upscale "elk style" camp in the evening and in the mornings we head out to explore the vast expanse of private and public land we have access to. This hunt is sure to be an enjoyable experience that you’ll remember for years to come.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Where is your camp located?

A: We get asked this question all the time. We do not disclose the exact location of our camp or where we hunt because exclusivity is the number one factor in the experience that we provide. We can tell you that we are located in Eastern Montana and that if you are flying you will be coming in and out of Billings Montana.

Q: Will I be sharing a tent with someone I don’t know?

A: No, we don’t mix parties for any reason. Depending on your group you may be sharing a tent with someone in your party.

Q: Do I need to bring my own sleeping bag or pillow?

A: No, we provide all of the bedding. You are welocome to bring your own if you wish.

Q: Do the tents have electricity or running water?

A: No, but we have access to power for charging your phone and tablets.

Q: Can I take a hot shower?

A: Yes, we will have a fully operational shower house that our guests absolutely love. We provide soap, fresh towels, etc.

Q: Is it okay to bring alcohol to your camp?

A: Yes, feel free to bring along your favorite Burbon or Wine. As always please enjoy in moderation.

Q: What is the best caliber rifle to bring with on this hunt?

A: We prefer a 7mm Magnum or a 300 Win Mag. There is no such thing as overkill and these larger calibers help minimize tracking and are not as affected by the wind. We always recommend having a muzzle brake on your weapon to minimize recoil.

Q: What is the average shot distance?

A: This is the most common and difficult questions to answer. If one hunter shoots a buck at 400 yards and one shoots a buck at 50 yards then what is the “average” shot? Deer have exceptional eyesight and use the open landscape to their advantage to avoid predators. We ask that you show up with an accurate rifle and are comfortable using it out to at least 300 yards. We kill a number of bucks inside of 250 yards but if you can shoot 350+ it will only increase your odds of killing a good buck.

Rifle Deer Hunts | Oct. 26 - Nov. 25

Over the years our guests have enjoyed a 95% success rate on mature bucks. Our goal is to give our hunters opportunities at 155-165” Mule Deer and Whitetail in the 140-150” class.

This is a spot and stalk hunt and while we would not classify it as a physically tough hunt you should plan on doing a good bit of hiking. We use 4x4's to access the properties and from there we will either glass from vantage points to locate shooter bucks or hike into more remote basins.
